The Tech Awards Network (TAN) 2011

Opportunities offered to The Tech Awards Laureates

The Tech Awards Network:

Taking The Tech Awards Innovations to Scale

The Tech Awards laureates are inducted each year into The Tech Awards Network (TAN), which provides them access to resources and mentoring that aid them in scaling the reach of their organizations' impact. The Tech Museum, Applied Materials, and the Center for Science, Technology, and Society at Santa Clara University (CSTS) work together to insure that The Tech Awards laureates benefit from the educational, networking, and leadership opportunities available in Silicon Valley through our sponsors and partners. These benefits include The Tech Awards Showcase, media interviews, filming, marketing materials, seminars, workshops, speaking engagements, important networking opportunities, an airship tour of Silicon Valley sponsored by Nokia, and more.

In addition to the opportunities provided by the Silicon Valley community, CSTS provides the laureates with additional chances to network by connecting them with the Santa Clara University community and its network of social entrepreneurs worldwide. Each year the laureates are invited to participate in the Center's annual fall conference.

Before they even set foot in San Jose for Laureate Week, all laureates are welcomed into the community of the Social Enterprise Innovation Network (SEIN). Developed by CSTS, SEIN is a collaborative online platform that supports The Tech Awards laureates and other social entrepreneurs. It offers tools, resources, and opportunities to discover and be discovered by others working to solve similar challenges.
